How does the Auray compare to the Neewer boompole holder?
Asked by: Alexander
The Auray seems to be more durable than the Neewer one. When I was adjusting the grip head for the boom pole that we were using the Neewer base (of the pole holder) sheared off. Neewer did send us a replacement though.

What is the maximum diameter pole that this will hold?
Asked by: Todd
I don't have it in front of me to measure, unfortunately, but it must be able to accomodate a fairly significantly wide pole because the one we have is easily 2" across and has plenty of wiggle room in both areas that make contact with the holder.

This would require a knuckle to attach it to a c stand. Here's an option B&H # IMKCP200B.

question

Is the grip head in this kit smaller than a standard grip head that comes with a typical C Stand? I already have a C-Stand with grip head but am hoping this is smaller, so I can use it for travel with a travel light stand and sand bag counterweight.
Asked by: Sheldon
Hi Sheldon, I believe they are a standard size. Hope this helps :)

question

Would this work with a rode shotgun microphone?
Asked by: Anonymous
This combination is great to hold a microphone boom pole that you could the attach a shock mount to and thus a rode shotgun to that. It would not work to hold the shotgun by itself.
