This is a great addition to have in my pack along with the Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro. It works well in windy conditions from my experience.

No, the Rode Dead Kitten Wind Shield is too large for the SM58. The outer diameter of the wind shield is 3.2" and the SM58 has a 1-5/8" diameter. As an option for the SM58, you can use the Rycote Mini Windjammer for M58, SM58, and MCE82 (B&H # RYMWSM), the K-Tek KR-50-70 Fur Windsock for Ball-Type Handheld Microphones (B&H # KTKR5070), or the Remote Audio Fat-Cat - Universal Outdoor Windscreen for Handheld Microphones and Short Boom Microphones (B&H # REFATCAT).

Hello Angus, if you also get the WS4 foam windscreen it should work. The Dead Kitten is only the fur, so you would need to also get the foam.
