The RODE Dead Kitten Artificial Fur Wind Shield is designed for use with the RODE Stereo VideoMic, RODE Stereo VideoMic Pro, RODE Stereo VideoMic Pro Rycote, RODE WS4, and RODE NT4 microphone. It's specially designed with artificial fur that minimizes wind noise, while also remaining acoustically transparent. No, the Rode Dead Kitten Wind Shield is too large for the SM58. The outer diameter of the wind shield is 3.2" and the SM58 has a 1-5/8" diameter. As an option for the SM58, you can use the Rycote Mini Windjammer for M58, SM58, and MCE82 (B&H # RYMWSM), the K-Tek KR-50-70 Fur Windsock for Ball-Type Handheld Microphones (B&H # KTKR5070), or the Remote Audio Fat-Cat - Universal Outdoor Windscreen for Handheld Microphones and Short Boom Microphones (B&H # REFATCAT).

Hello Angus, if you also get the WS4 foam windscreen it should work. The Dead Kitten is only the fur, so you would need to also get the foam.
