Walkstool is a unique company making an even more unique and extremely useful product. The Walkstool Comfort 45 L is born of fine Swedish engineering and provides a portable posterior platform - in other words, a seat for all occasions. Whereas a folding chair or stool is nothing new, this Walkstool's clever design makes it stand out from the rest. The two primary issues Walkstool's designers focused on were compact size and load strength and the final product reflects their careful engineering and dedication.

The primary benefit of the Walkstool is the prevention of back strain or fatigue while keeping a person elevated to a comfortable height. This is useful for sports, event, and press photographers who spend many hours on their feet, squatting or on their knees. It is also good for campers and other outdoor enthusiasts or simply anyone who needs a seat in a location where a comfortable chair may be hard to come by.

The Walkstool Comfort line features lightweight and ultra-portable stools with two height positions depending on whether the telescoping legs are extended or not. Transportation of these sub-two lbs stools is a breeze, as it collapses into a compact form that can be easily carried in a camera bag, backpack, or tool bag to be taken just about anywhere. The Comfort line improves on the Basic line with a larger seat, different size seat mesh material, and larger rubber feet to prevent the stool legs from getting stuck in the mud.

I am 5:6 inches tall. Is this the right size for me? I am not a big guy. Is the seat too small? Thanks.

I can't give you a yes or no. Before I purchased, I found a sizing guide somewhere...and maybe I measured my calves - the height at which I sit. Maybe you will find that info somewhere as well. I am 5' 2" and this size worked for me, but that's not all that matters when picking your size stool.

I am 5:5 inches tall. I have bad knees and my back is beginning to ache. I was told that the WALKSTOOL 55 is right for me. Others claim that the WALKSTOOL 45 is the right one. I am reaching out to the community. Which one is best? Help!!!!! Thanks.

The ideal model really depends on your proportions, however I will say that I am 5'6 myself and I found that the Walkstool 55 was a bit tall to be comfortable for me. The 45 really was the ideal fit for my height and proportions. Without the ability for you to try it first, I really would suggest the 45 would be a better fit based on my own experimenting with the sizes. Hope this helps!

question

Has anyone had problems with the legs pulling completely out bypassing the locking pins? I've tried pulling out the legs slowly but even then sometimes the pins don't engage.
Asked by: Roy O.
Never a problem for me, though I haven't used mine but a dozen times. I tried twisting the legs a bit when pulling out, and the leg always stayed in. They can be pulled out by pressing the red button and then re-inserted. After doing this three times for each leg all are as secure as originally.

How would I determine which size to get? Is there guide for either total-height range or waist-height range per stool?
Asked by: Fidel
I wasn't sure which height to get so I ordered 2 different heights and returned the one that turned out to be too tall.
