Dot Line DL-1490 reviews

Remote Release is rated 4.3 out of 5 by 8.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works, and reasonably priced After the camera-brand release failed (autofocus connection no longer functions)I bought two releases so I' have a spare, one made by Dot Line, the other by Bower. These are actually identical products under different brands, and they work perfectly, at less that half the price of the camera-brand unit. So I get a replacement and a spare at less than the cost of the original.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works Great Inexpensive alternative to the name brand remote release. Works great and will last a long time if taken care of. One good tug on any remote release will cause the internal wiring to be over stressed and the operational relability will be less. Works well for self portraits, bulb exposures, timed exposures. If you want to minimize camera shake, grab one of these. (Just don't compalin when it doesn't work when you carry your camera by it)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Must have item for your Pentax Handy for use behind the camera work. I use it for taking photographs of fire works or using a big lens on a tripod.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Recommended Handy and easy to use. A great feature is the shutter lock for when I am using bulb mode. In the cold weather (-15 C and below) the cable gets pretty stiff but most of the time this will not be a problem.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from inconsistant the switch is clunky. I was uncertain when the shutter would go off. Most times it did now activate my shutter at all. I had to press the shutter repeatedly.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Works great To use to reduce vibration at slow shutter speed (i.e. night photography, low light scene)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excelent Equipment An absolute must for all serious photographers.
