First and foremost, B & H nailed it with shipping and price as they always do. Very impressed with the build quality of this rack unit the only issue being, what I have read in other reviews of this product, that not all of the lights light up when you have a microphone plugged in. Ran a show over the weekend, used all six channels- no line noise, no issues whatsoever. Definitely would recommend and bye again.

Can I add a non Condenser mic and just use one of the port as a pass through no phantom power required?

No you can't. This is an active device it is always passing current whether you use phantom or not. If you plug a dynamic into it the capsule will burn out in time.

the info states Balanced XLR-female, x6 and Balanced 1/4 TRS Phone, x6 . Picture shows Balanced XLR-female, x6Balanced XLR-male, x6. which is it?

When in doubt, trust the photo. There are only XLR jacks on this piece of gear. no 1/4 inputs, or outputs.
