The Rolls RPB486 Phantom Hex is a six-channel +48V phantom power supply for up to six condenser microphones. The rear panel features six XLR input connectors for microphones and six XLR outputs for sending channel signal to mixers. The RPB486 is 19-inch rack-mountable and is ideal wherever 48V phantom power is not available.

Can I add a non Condenser mic and just use one of the port as a pass through no phantom power required?
No you can't. This is an active device it is always passing current whether you use phantom or not. If you plug a dynamic into it the capsule will burn out in time.

the info states Balanced XLR-female, x6 and Balanced 1/4 TRS Phone, x6 . Picture shows Balanced XLR-female, x6Balanced XLR-male, x6. which is it?
When in doubt, trust the photo. There are only XLR jacks on this piece of gear. no 1/4 inputs, or outputs.
