Good Luster for Portraits and Events

I’ve been using the Ultra Premium Luster in various sizes for quite a while. For inkjet, it is the equivalent of the wet Kodak Endura papers, especially when used with the Epson profiles on the higher-end printers. The results on my recently acquired Surecolor P900 have been outstanding, printing from PhotoShop. I use 13x19 paper for 11x14 prints or two-up 8x10s, and although there is a slightly smaller size suitable for those options, the 13x19 was the better deal, price wise. For better durability, a spray overcoat, such as the Hahnemüle print spray, is quite helpful. All in all, a good vehicle for portraits and events.

Can this paper be folded without the resin surface cracking?
Asked by: Jerry
The Epson Ultra Premium Luster Photo Paper (13 x 19", 100 Sheets), B&H # EPPLPSB100, is not designed to be folded; we could not guarantee that the surface would not crack if the paper is folded.

Is this matte finish?

Is this matte finish?
Asked by: Anonymous
No. It is a slightly pebbled gloss, pebbled to reduce the reflection of ambient light sources nearby. This paper is 3 times more popular than any other paper Epson sells. It has much deeper blacks, richer colors and saves money on print ink, and hides finger prints well.

Does it have OBAs?
Asked by: Jaclyn
The only paper that Epson goes out of their way to advertise OBA-free is the Exhibition Watercolor Paper Textured. You can see this on the manufacturer;s website: https://epson.com/signature-worthy-fine-art-photo-papers If you wish to look for another brand that carries more than one style of paper that is OBA free, I would look to paper company that has been is business for the longest and that is Canson. Canson has been cerified as museum grade by the more reputable tester in the United States: https://www.canson-infinity.com/en/print-longevity-wilhelm

It’s closer to glossy, however it’s not real glossy. It’s in between. Try a trial pack.

question

I'm looking for both a glossy / luster paper and a matte paper that can accept the heat of a drymount press with the aim of mounting on to foam core. I was thinking about Epson Luster and Ink Press Matte.

These papers will be able to hold up to a drymount press.
