If you want wider spacings for ab omni mics, there's not much available. Other options are considerably more expensive. Like all my other Manfrotto gear, it is solidly built. It would be nice to have scales on bar, but I'll make do for the savings : ) The individual mounts can also be rotated on the bar. This can make it a little fussy, but does also allow angular adjustment. Note that this is meant to be mounted atop a light stand.

The two outer mic mounts can be positioned all the way the far ends of the 26 inch bar.

What size are these screws? They appear to be 3/8" but the suggested bushing adapter makes me think that they are 14/"-20.

This item was designed to attach to the 5/8'' stud of a lighting stand. If you did want to attach this to a standard 3/8'' threaded boompole, you could try this adapter BH #IMCA117.
