The center mount fits onto a 5/8" stud, the depth into the socket is about 1 inch, the clamp is midway up the socket. If your boom can supply that stud there shouldn't be a problem.

What adapter(s) do I need to mount this on a regular mic stand (Shure S-15) with a 5/8"27 thread?
For the actual mic holders you'll need 3/8" to 5/8" adapters. For mounting the bar itself on a regular mic stand, since it's designed for lighting stands, the mounts have no threads and are designed for clamping onto a pole or rod. I've found that it will clamp firmly to the top of any straight stand or boom that has a skinny end. Fatter ones, or ones with permanent locking rings won't insert far enough to reach the tightening screw.
