This 1.6-stop, 4 x 4" Kodak 85N3 Color Conversion Wratten 2 Optical Gel Filter helps to prevent the bluish cast in your photograph when shooting with tungsten-balanced film in daylight. An #85 filter will decrease the color temperature from 5500K to 3400K and produce slightly cooler results than an 85B. This filter combines an 85 conversion filter (2/3 of a stop) with a Neutral Density .3 (one stop) filter for a total of one and two-thirds stop reduction.
Kodak Wratten 2 gelatin filters are more durable than the previous Wratten series filters, though the color correction properties match. This filter can withstand temperatures up to 122°F and features a polyurethane top coat for increased usable life. When not in use, the filter should be stored flat and in a cool (78°F), dark, and low-humidity environment with less than 50% relative humidity.
