This 1.6-stop, 4 x 4" Kodak 85N3 Color Conversion Wratten 2 Optical Gel Filter helps to prevent the bluish cast in your photograph when shooting with tungsten-balanced film in daylight. An #85 filter will decrease the color temperature from 5500K to 3400K and produce slightly cooler results than an 85B. This filter combines an 85 conversion filter (2/3 of a stop) with a Neutral Density .3 (one stop) filter for a total of one and two thirds stop reduction.
Kodak Wrattan2 gelatin filters are more durable than the previous Wrattan series filters, though the color correction properties match. This filter can withstand temperatures up to 122°F, and features a polyurethane top coat for increased usable life. When not in use, the filter should be stored flat and in a cool (78°F), dark, and low-humidity environment with less than 50% relative humidity.
