Does this lock only by friction/tension, or, does it also have ratcheting teeth (similar to Westcott and Kupo tilt umbrella brackets)? On a 50degree tilt angle would this securely lock and hold an extension arm and a Mola 28 beauty dish with a P.C.Buff Einstein?
Friction/tension only, I'm almost certain. Would it hold? Probably depends on arm length. However I'd be hesitant. I'd use C-stands for that kind of work or better yet a boom arm. Solid construction for sure, but not 360 degree movement that you might think.
