Sturdy Tripod!

The adjusting ball column makes it so much easier to level the camera angle without fussing with each legs. So far it's been sturdy enough to hold up in windy condition and outdoor wedding ceremonies.

I'm glad, so glad, I purchased this tripod from B&H Photo. Not only is this solid and has enough weight to let you know it's not cheaply made, it's not going to be a wimp when it comes down to the job it's made for. I have used this and have a hard time seeing, so I use my camera's balance and just unscrew the turnknob at the bottom of the cc, rotate my camera until I see green, then tighten, and ready to shoot.

Love this tripod for its versatility. The leveling flat head is incredible and my 502AH fits on top perfectly. A great blend for on the go shooting with great stability.

Nice and lightweight. It is the perfect companion to my Sony FS5 and Atomos Shogun Inferno setup. I wanted a tripod that would allow me to level the camera like a ball head, but didn't have the bulkier build of the cinema style tripods - this is the perfect solution. I use this with a Manfrotto 500 fluid head. The only thing i do not care for is the plastic feel to some of the components. That said, I think will last for many years to come.

This is my second Manfrotto tripod I have purchased from B&H and as usual I am very happy with the product and service from B&H. I bought this tripod without a head to accommodate my Matterport 3D camera with its 3/8-16 tripod mount. It is a strong, sturdy, and all around great tripod. It's a little pricey in terms of the other competitors products, but you get what you pay for, and that is a top of the line tripod. I will continue to use B&H for all of my photography needs, and will purchase another Manfrotto tripod probably many years from now, after I beat the heck out of this one.

How do I lock the ball to stop it from rotating? I'm able to lock my tripod head (500AH Fluid head), but the ball causes the position to slowly change and camera to move out of position. The only locks I can see are on my tripod head. Thanks.
Asked by: Meghan
At the very end of the center column is the locking mechanism. Twist to loosen or lock the leveling base.

One leg has come loose. What tool is needed to tighten the clamp?
Asked by: Dipanka
Manfrotto tripods come with a ring-clamp wrench for tightening the leg bolts and it's usually attached to the leg. If you look at the top half of the center leg in this image (https://bit.ly/3bQYWek), you'll see it. If you've lost yours, according to Manfrotto, this is the replacement: https://bhpho.to/3inC1IZ

Not sure what you mean by horizontal. I have used it laying down out a small window with a Sony x70.
