Yamaha NS-6490 Reviews
no esta mal
por el precio no esta mal. pero no tienen mucho bajo
Great speakers
Great speakers Yamaha, Clean sound with Yamaha receiver 90 watts RMS
excellent
excellent speaker's.....superb
WOW!
Have had many speakers in my 60 years of audio gear, some better than others, but the Yamaha NS-6490 are hands down the best value, sort of the Swiss army knife of speakers.
okay as received, however has a lot of potential
A lot of potential for excellent sound and performance. First, the simple crossover consists of only 2 filter capacitors. The woofer if getting full frequency. The mid range is actually a mid-tweeter, and has too much output compared to the other drivers. And, there is no sound absorbing stuffing in the box. However if you are handy, with a few simple mods you will end up with a respectable sounding speaker. First, you can add a 1mh inductor coil in series with the woofer + wire to help reduce upper frequencies to woofer. Be sure to securely glue it down. Next, add a 10ohm 10 watt resistor in series with the + wire to the mid-range driver to tone it down a little. Then you can cut a 2 hole in back and add a 2 X 5 port tube the help bring out the lows. Finally, add some acoustic stuffing in the box, covering the back and sides loosely. The end result will be a deeper and more powerful bass, a tad mellower in upper mid's. The entire procedure took me about 3 hours.
Buy Em!!
I have a pair of Yamaha Powered HS7 Monitors for my Recording Studio and love Em. I bought these based on my affection for The HS7's and listen to my final mixes. These are The Most pleasing Sounding Home speakers I've ever owned. I've owned so many brands in my 70 years of age. The very best of em all for home listening. A Sweet sound .. like listen to old Macintosh rigs with even order harmonics.. that sweet sound!! Thanks B&H and thanks Yamaha.
Very reasonable for the price!
These speakers are really good for the price! The only thing I am adding to make them sound a little better is some acoustic foam on sides and back, and a 2 Precision Flare Port in the upper rear for better sound. Their sound articulation is much clearer and better than the $500 a piece Mirage speakers I sold after getting these!
Understated Value
Lot of speaker for the money. Add their $179 sub for the complete deal. Has the specs of speakers costing significantly more.
