Aluratek ADMPF315F overview

  • 1Description

Aluratek aptly describes this black 15" Hi-Res Digital Picture Frame as a Digital Lifestyle Device. This frame's features allow it to bridge the gap between a digital camera and a home computer. Both can remain off as the digital frame shows off images. A user can copy images into the frame's 4GB of internal memory from either a digital camera memory card inserted in the frame's SD/SDHC slot, or from a USB cable linked to a PC/Mac/Linux computer. Alternatively, the frame can slideshow images directly from a memory card, and can display photo, video, or audio files. It can be mounted on a flat surface like a desktop or mantle with an included stand, or simply hung on a wall.

Mosaic view option allows for multiple images to be presented on the screen
Built-in speakers for audio/video playback
Easy operation and control with the included wireless remote
Built-in clock and calendar
Removable frame stand rotates 90 degrees for vertical orientation

    Aluratek ADMPF315F reviews

15" Hi-Res Digital Picture Frame (Black) is rated 3.6 out of 5 by 40.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the bright clear screen I use this product in my home. I wanted something that was large enough to be seen across the room and from many angles at once. This digital picture frame fits the bill. It is bright and sharp from most directions. It dims a little when looking down from a high angle but is still bright and clear. The colors are very accurate. I have only had this frame for a few weeks but so far no technical problem. I just inserted a compact flash card I had in an old frame that I did not like and hit slide show on the remote after it started and away it went. I have not tried any of the other features since this is what I purchased the frame for.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from So frustrating I am attempting to use this product with a Sandisk ExtremeIII 4 GB CF card. In slide show mode, the frame gets hungup every 3-4 pictures for 10-15 seconds. This can't benormal. I popped the CF card into a Pandigital frame and itworked just fine, as designed. So the card is not theproblem. I have emailed Aluratek support twice now and haveyet to receive a reply. The remote control is very, verycheap and out of the box, a couple of pushes on the exitbutton and the thin plastic strip covering is coming undone.I would not recommend this product to anyone.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Purchase! As a portrait photographer I am using this to show clients proofs of their photos. I like the format because it shows what a framed photo would look like on their wall. Resolution is very good on this large 15 inch screen. Though it is possible to adjust color, brightness and contrast, the color was a bit off, but not so much that it makes a great difference. There certainly was a learning curve for using the menu items, but once that was mastered, it is easy to use as a slide show or click through individual photos. Aluratek customer service was excellent as I had a problem with pixelization on some photos until they told me that the ones with the problem were prograssive jpg's. Easy fix.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Does NOT play video The frame itself is nice, the image quality is above good, but the product does not play video. It just infinitely loads, I have tried every video format and used different media devies to load the video, nothing worked

Rated 2 out of 5 by from nice but problems, probably sending back This frame is large and shows photos clearly. But, it has problems that I don't like. 1. The buttons don't always work. For instance if I want to change the mode of slide transition, I can't make the frame respond to either the remote or the buttons on the back to select a different mode. 2. There is no way to select random display of photos. If you put a thumb drive in with 100 photos, it only shows them in the order on the thumb drive. You can't modify that to random. 3. There are only 2 selections for slide transition. One is called Random, and it has lots of cheesy transitions that detract from the photos. The second one is called Null, and it has only one transition that is a split from the center, which is jerky, but otherwise okay. But a plain replacement would be better. All in all I'm not happy with this digital photo frame. I'll probably return it if I can find a better replacement.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Not the best digital frame the picture frame does what it was intended to do. However I'm not impressed with the resolution of the frame the pictures do not come out as clear as they should. Also there is no way to have your pictures show in a random order which is frustrating. They show exactly the way you have it loaded on the card or the frame. No way to change it. There is a random command but it only controls how the screen changes from one picture to another and that is not even a smooth transition as some of the pictures do not show during the transition. Not the best digital frame.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Glitchy I purchased this frame at B&H on impulse so I did not get a chance to read the reviews before purchasing. This frame has a decent image quality and brightness however I found that the slideshow gets hung up on some photos for 6 to 7 seconds. I have my photos set to 3 seconds so to have a random photo hung up that long is very noticeable. Secondly, after loading about 40 images on the internal memory, I found that the frame just keeps replaying the same 10 or so images and ignoring the rest. Thirdly, the frame has an auto-off and auto-on feature where you can set a certain time to turn on and off. It turned off by itself but it never turned itself on at the time I set it to. Hopefully there is a firmware update for this.
