Small and lightweight, The Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable Lithium-Ion Battery can be charged or discharged at anytime without developing memory effect. This means that it never loses its ability to hold a full charge. InfoLithium battery packs have a built-in micro processor that accurately calculates remaining battery life in minutes, and they also display remaining battery time on the camera's LCD as well as in the viewfinder by continuously communicating with the camcorder or digital camera.

Works in my Sony A99 ii stayed charged for over 600 pictures at an air show using a Sony DT 4.5 - 5.6 / 55-300 SAM lens.

I have been shooting with Sony since they took over the Minolta photography products. For more than a decade before Covid, I shot with my DSLR; I stopped shooting when Covid hit, and am just getting my mojo back. My old batteries charged and seem to hold a charge, but I didn't want to take chances, so bought these replacements. Thank you, Sony, for allowing me to keep using the camera that I love by continuing to supply the batteries that it uses!

The Sony NP-FM500H Rechargeable InfoLithium Battery (7.2V, 1600mAh) is not compatible with the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F707. The the Sony Cyber-shot DSC-F707 uses the NP-FM50 Battery. We no longer have the Sony in stock, but we have in stock the Watson NP-FM50 Lithium-Ion Battery Pack (7.4V, 1400mAh), BH #WANPFM50 (https://bhpho.to/396Cv2j).

Hi George, I have owned camera bodies that uses this battery since 2009. I have purchased extras over the years and only have had 2 dying after 7-8 years of frequent use. I am not sure what the promises are but you should at least get 6 years life out of the genuine Sony battery. I tried the cheaper third party - it died after only 1 year!!!

What is the warrenty on this battery. Purchased an extra battery along with my camera. Now battery dies faster than the other one. Battery dies in two weeks ibn storage. Battery was purchased in April of this year.
