    K&M 21070 reviews

21070 Tripod Microphone Stand with 32" Boom (Black) is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 14.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from K&M Super Stands! I'm a musician who performs and records, and K&M stands are my favorite by far for live situations and in the studio. The construction is solid and reliable, and when you pay a little more for something because it's made better you tend to take care of it more, and I definitely have with the first K&M stand I purchased almost 3 years ago. My only issue, but I find this with most mic stands, is that the joint where the boom meets the stand never seems to get tight enough to support a large capsule condenser. But, like I said, most stands I've come across gradually droop a bit and overtightening just ruins the rubber gasket. K&M is my new favorite stand!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Solid well-made stand With so many mic stands out there, and such a wide range of prices, it was hard to choose. This stand costs a bit more than the rock-bottom models, but as soon as I opened the box, I could see it was worth it. There is nothing fancy about this stand, but it is sturdy and well-made. The base where the legs attach and the boom attachment are both cast steel. The whole stand has a thick smooth powder-coat of black paint. A cast imprint on the boom mount, as well as labeling on the box, says Made in Germany. The mounting threads are clean and sharp. To summarize, a good, strong, well-made basic mic stand at a very sensible price. When I need more stands, I'll get this one again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great bang for the buck! As far as $40 mic stands go, you'd be hard-pressed to beat this one! It's not as good as K&M's more expensive brethren, nor would I expect it to be, but for the money and in comparison to the competition, it's a winner! It's a pretty safe bet for the budget-minded...much better than the $40 piece of **** ProLine I got at GC!!! Should definitely be good enough for all but the most discriminating tastes and/or difficult applications.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from K&M Mic Stands - A Cut Above With better hardware, such as knobs with hex brass inserts to ensure adequate torquing without stripping, a durable finish, good balance, and a reliable friction mechanism for proper leg retention, these stands are more durable and dependable than others.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great investment I've used this in Film for four interviews...comments are as follows: A). Rather heavy especially when carrying it for some blocks but very well built. B). Configuration wise it is good, Setup is easy, just take care not to over tighten the adjusting knobs, C). Would buy again,

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Cut Above Standard Low-End Tripods If you have used tripods in most music clubs these days, you know about cheap, junky tripods. Many of these barely hold an SM58 reliably, much less a heavier, more expensive microphone. Having nearly lost mics on more than one occasion, I bought better quality tripods for myself. When I began looking for the right combination of quality and weight, I decided on K&M. I have yet to have one fail. Yes, you pay more, but you get what you pay for. One day all of us learn that lesson.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good for the money I read the reviews on the less expensive stands and decided on this one. The boom tighening seems to need a little more tork to hold solid than I like, and time will tell if it's a concern. I wish there was a 4.5 star because I don't like lowering the rating for an issue unknown. Otherwise I really like this stand. The boom could be used alone with an operator.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from good value I have tried a number of different folding mic stands similar in design to this one. The K&M 21070 simply offers good value and works as you expect. It is no frills, but it is heavy enough to NOT tip over in normal stage use and it looks good with its black paint job. I own several is will buy these exclusively in the future.
