    Manfrotto 122B reviews

    122B Adjustable Pole for Backlight Stand - 21 to 33.5" (53-85cm) is rated 4.8 out of 5 by 22.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Almost perfect for my needs I like to travel a lot, and one thing I always found frustating was the choice of taking a tripod or a light stand. Using this, a Manfrotto MA158, a spare QR plate and a left over spigot from a Manfrotto umbrella holder, I can now very quickly turn my tripod into a respectable height light stand. My only complaint, is that this is too sturdy for my speed light needs. Slightly thinner and therefore lighter, would have suited me better. Or maybe a 3 section one which folds up smaller. All in all though, very happy with this combo. On my next trip my Nano lightstands will stay at home!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Allows tilt of Westcott Mega JS Apollo Using the 122B adjustable pole to extend the Westcott Mega JS Apollo (50x50) softbox from the umbrella bracket to allow tilting the softbox downwards. Without this (or a contraption of two umbrella brackets or door mending plates - which I was using) you couldn't tilt the softbox down... only straight ahead. I've got my lightstand sandbagged to keep it from tipping over. Much happier with this set up now.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect additon to the Nano stand Perfect accessory to the Bogen/Manfrotto Nano Stand. I use it to mount my Apollo softboxes to allow the tilt point to be outside the Apollo...works with both the 28 and 50inch boxes. Will also allow the Nano to go from 6ft to almost 9ft. Also handy with the Manfrotto Superclamp.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lightweight, great addition I have used this adjustable pole to gain versatility for my off-camera flash at weddings where I am constantly moving want to get more flexibility in my lighting options. It has two attachment sizes at both ends and is lightweight. The only drawback may be carrying it when not in use unless you can find a way to attach it to your bag. It is a fantastic addition to how I shoot.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well made and exactly what I needed. I got two of these so that I could attach them to two Manfrotto Super Clamps that are attached to a table top. I the. Used a Manfrotto background rod to connect to these in order to have a bar from which I could suspend a Bowens monolight since my studio space is too, small for a traditional light stand and boom setup. This works fantastic. Very rigid with plenty of height. More than my ceiling allows, in fact. Great product, as always from Manfrotto.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from very versatile pole I needed a side arm to hold a backlight from my c-stand. This pole fits perfectly into my ikan light, and screws right into 3 different places on my Impact c stand. It has both sizes of screw-in male ends, and nice caps for when not in use. Surprisingly versatile, and very sturdy for it's light weight.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Manfrotto... always a satisfying purchase. Exactly as described. And because its Manfrotto, its always great quality. The extra in the price does indeed get you extra. I use this for backlights and as a makeshift boom arm on a Manfrotto nightstand with a Manfrotto 124 clamp - lighter things only.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Adjustable Pole for Backlight Stand Was to extend a 10 foot lightstand higher. The main problem I find is that it is of lighter construction than I had imagined. Therefor, using it above 10 feet will be dangerous if using anthing heavier than a speedlight.
