What do I need to loosen/tighten the little black screws that hold these lights together? The screws seem to require something other than phillips head or flat head screwdriver?
Asked by: Anonymous
Some of the units in the kit use phillips head and others in the kit use an Allen Key. It is nothing special but best to get an Allen Key set to make sure you have more than one size.

Does this come with a dimmer? If not, what dimmer works with these lights?
Asked by: benjamin
Dimmers are not included with the ARRIDigital Dimmer - 1800 Watts (90-130VAC). If you need to dim the lights included in the kit, I would recommend to purchase three (3) of theImpactD1000 1,000W AC Dimmer Control (110-120V),B&H #IMD1000, which may be used with theARRICompact Fresnel Three-Light Kit (one for each light).

Can you change the color temperature of these lights? If not do you have a suggestion for similarly powered lights where you can change the color temperature? For tungsten lights if you change the white balance to cancel the yellow tones does it produce high quality, clean and non yellowish footage?

No the following units are not bi-color units. The following item has a color temperature of 3200K.

does this set comes with 650w bulbs and the necessary cables to get it working out of the box?

This kit would include 2 650w bulbs and 1 300 watt bulb. The necessary cable to plug them into an AC outlet are pre-installed on each fixture.

It appears that the 150W light in this kit is supplied with a bulb having a 2900 degree color temperature, while the other two lights are supplied with 3200 degree bulbs. Are 3200 degree bulbs available that would fit in the 150 watt housing? And can anyone comment on how likely the 2900 vs 3200 difference is to be a significant issue in video'ing indoor interviews? Thanks.
Asked by: Alfred
While there are no 3200° K bulbs for the Arri 150 Fresnel, the difference in color temperature can be supplemented with the use of a CTB filter or with a custom white balance setting in the camera.
