Super white with. no wrinkles. Easy to fold up and haul around. Price is also reasonable

I had great hopes for this background. It is HUGE. Which would be nice, but only if you could fold it back up. If you don't have a talent for that sort of thing, you are stuck with a huge black background that is hard to put away. I tried following the directions but just couldn't accomplish the task. Finally I thought I'd just have to cut the cloth out., but even that wasn't satisfying because by that point the cloth was covered in lint from me trying to fold it and dropping it on the floor. What a waste of money. If you could fold it and not drop it on the floor, you would be fine with it.

The backdrop is easy to use. It folds up intuitively, small enough to truly be portable and opens large enough to be useful. We are pleased with it so far.

No more hauling seamless and heavy C Stands for business portraiture. First socially distanced gig setup was faster. I have used front and backlight on this background and it looks great either way. Folds up easily. Folded, it’s a bit bigger than I expected, but still very manageable. It’s larger when deployed than a half roll of seamless. That is great. It makes it easier to compose. Glad I got it and I highly recommend getting one, or more.

Kirk, Thanks! Can you recommend a 5x7 white backdrop or scrim that's translucent enough for backlighting and similarly easy to transport and set up? I'm looking for a smaller, cheaper, simpler alternative to a Manfrotto Hi-Lite. Been using the translucent white core of a Westcott 42" 6-in-1 reflector disk set for tight headshots, but want something bigger.

For the pure white (non-reversible) is it translucent enough to place a flash behind it to get a really white background?

Yes, in order to achieve a solid white color, you would need to place two lights in front of the background and make them at least 2 stops brighter than the light on the subject.

Has anyone found a smart way to fly with this?? I've checked it with just the bag it comes in but it's getting a little beat up so I'd love a padded sleeve at least. Asking for a friend.

If you're looking to add an extra layer of protection within the case, I would personally recommend a heavy duty (flattened) cardboard box or corrugated shipping pads, which can be found at any office supply store. It won't add significant weight and can help shield the backdrop in the case.
