I'm definitely going to be using this for a lot of filming. Real great effect on skin tones, and it gives a nice pink value if used outside and if you set your color temperature a little under the norm. Good construction that you've come to expect from Tiffen. I'll probably buy the rectangular version of this filter, if they've got one.

question

What is the filter factor for Tiffen 812 warming filter? Can I use canon software to warm up skin tone instead of buying this filter? If yes, how much correction in software will I need to mimic the effect of this filter?

I!m not sure of filter factor. I shoot most of the time with it in auto sometimes manual white balance. I shoot lots of early late time exposures. Also its been mostly overcast i find for gray days and subbed light it helps. I find a bid difference in using the filter vs trying to change in Photoshop. I find the filter adds enough warm color for skin tones. I also find a big difference in using warming filter with flash.
