The silver Manfrotto Autopole is adjustable from 6.9-12.1' and designed to serve the needs of image makers, decorators, and set designers. The brushed aluminum pole mounts between the floor and ceiling of a studio, or between any two flat, fixed surfaces. It is secured with a large spring-lock handle and has rubber feet at both ends to prevent abrasion damage. Extensions are available to accommodate higher ceilings or changes in your requirements. Autopoles support backgrounds, lights, and grip arms with the addition of separately available accessories including super clamps, hooks, and crossbars. A spring-loaded tip combined with rubber suction cups on the top and bottom provide greater security. Floor-to-ceiling or wall-to-wall, this Autopole provides strong vertical or horizontal support for lighting.

With vertical loads it's been stable for me, but I had one pull out on me when pulling laterally on it. I was cinching rope in between two of them. Not a surprise, but ... wanted to find out. The white footing unpopped from its sheath. Truly my bad on not using it correctly, though. I mention only because you don't wanna do that either, and expect it to hold as well.

The diameter of the 032B Single Autopole is 1.77 . The minimum height is 6.9' while the maximum height is 12.2'. If suspending a single cross bar from two of these Autopoles, each of them can support up to 44 lbs.

The Manfrotto Autopole do not have a adjustable level on the top for a vaulted ceiling. you will need to level it for the poles to be properly installed.
