The Allen & Heath ZED-24 is a small-format, 24-channel analog mixer offering versatile I/O and a user-friendly workflow for use in home and project studio recording, houses of worship, and live sound reinforcement. The 16 mono channels feature Neutrik XLR mic and 1/4" line inputs, DuoPre preamps with phantom power and bountiful gain, 1/4" insert points, and 3-band EQ, while the four stereo channels have 1/4" inputs and 2-band EQ. All channels are equipped with long-throw 100mm faders, solo and mute buttons, and independent aux send knobs.
The four aux sends are ideal for routing to floor monitors and outboard time-based effects. A USB 1.1 port delivers 2-channel send and return capabilities via a Mac or Windows computer. There are stereo and mono main outputs in addition to alt and headphone outputs, and dual 12-segment LED meters that clearly indicate your master output level. Patch additional stereo sources into the RCA stereo return and 2-track inputs, then route them to the stereo bus, or mix them into the stereo channels. The stereo RCA output is handy for recording your mix to an external device such as a cassette deck or computer soundcard.- 16 Mono and 4 Stereo Channels
- 16 x XLR Mic Inputs with Phantom Power

Allen & Heath ZED-24 Reviews
Best board ever
Great Board!!! Does everything we need and looks impressive. The price is Amazing and we will be getting another soon
Live Sound Swiss Army Knife
I have a small, portable live sound rig that I use primarily for open mic folk / acoustic music sessions & performances. The musicians range from newbies to seasoned pros (we never know who's going to show up) so I needed something that was easy to operate on the fly & sounded really good. I had been muddling through for the past few years with a really poor excuse for a board (Beh***ger) until it completely imploded 2 weeks before a large community performance. I quickly researched several units and settled on the A&H for 2 reasons: 1) We needed room for at lease 14 mic inputs (hard to find) & 2) a pro Engineer recommended the brand. I settled on this unit (vs ZED22FX) as I figured I'd continue using my outboard FX.WOW! The sonic clarity of this board is amazing at this price range. Lots of manufacturers make claims about their boutique mic pre's and all the bells & whistles they've added to their board. What about just a clean, clear signal path? No one seems to talk about that! Well, the A&H wins hands-down. The controls are clearly laid out and the faders are a joy to operate: smooth, accurate & the 100mm range is a nice feature. The inputs are well laid out making it easy to see what's plugged where at a glance, and the routing capabilities in the ZED are second-to-none. I was able to configure the layout to exactly meet our needs, NOT the other way around! There's plenty of headroom for live sound, and with the recording out's on the board I was able to 2-track the entire performance onto a portable recorder (Marantz PMD660) in a set-it-and-forget-it approach. This board was a terrific investment and I expect it to last for a lifetime. The build quality is very good as compared to the bargain brands. Although this is still made in China (so much for the classic British EQ sound...) the A&H folks seem to have chosen quality sub's to assemble the product. As always, B&H was the perfect place to shop. When an item is listed as in stock then I know for sure that it really is available. Shipping is always quick (basic free ground shipping reaches me in northern New England in just 1 day). Great prices & outstanding service have made B&H my 1st choice for all my gear needs. Thanks!
