The Whirlwind Medusa MultiSnake is perfect for organizing acoustic instruments, keyboards and vocal frontlines. This snake combines four of Whirlwind's MultiDirector premium direct boxes with four XLR mic lines and four 1/4" DI lines in one small drop snake measuring 9.5 (with handle) x 5.25 x 2.5". In addition, the box also features six XLR - 1/4" combo sockets for "thru" monitoring.
The DI channels feature individual ground lift switches and their fanout ends are color-coded yellow.
The DI (Direct Injection) feature's main purpose is to convert unbalanced and/or high impedance instrument signals into a format suitable for direct connection to a mixing console - without the use of a microphone.
