I have an older softbox that was slowly breaking apart after 8 years of location and studio use. I love the quality of the light from it. It is a good quality product with great build. Fits on the rods and speed ring perfectly.

The 100 cm Deep Octa is a one of a kind light shaper producing a variety of light qualities all its own... Unfortunately Elinchrom does not build their gear on a par with other leading manufacturers - like Profoto , Broncolor or Chimera. The original fabric lasted about 12 months and perhaps 20 set ups and take downs..before the silver lining peeled off the backing cloth in several spots These are not the only examples of shoddy manufacture from Elinchrom. I love the light this box produces and how easy it is to use in the field...but Elinchrom has serious quality control and construction issues...throughout. I must say a word here in praise of B&H. They were the only vendor I found who were willing to contact Elinchrom to see if they could get one of these. It was back ordered, but B&H made supplemental inquiries and voila...Elinchrom found one in short order.
