Rycote INV-6 Reviews

Effective suspention

I use this mostly for a stationary boom pole mount for interviews. For this it works perfectly. I haven't tested for noise in a moving boom pole set up. I only gave it four stars because the plastic seems a little flimsy. But if you use it gently for interviews, like I do, I don't think this will ever be a problem.

Very good shock mount

I got this for an EV RE-16 after going through the usual elastic band suspects. It fits the mic well, is not too bulky and is a very effective shock mount. A little bit hard to take on and off the mic, but I'm getting the hang of it. The cable clamp part works well.

Excellent mounts.

Love rycote, this is a great shock mount, a tad flimsy but it gets the job done.

I use this with an incredibly sensitive audix six-1 hc with the other mount you had to be almost inhumanly delicate. There was no way to pan between actors. This mount on the other hand is incredible. No noise, and it's super durable. You do not have to be a pro to use this. In fact anyone can. Keep the original packaging for transport. I leave the mic right in it for quick unpacking.

Excellent shock mount!

I am using the INV-6 on my upright bass (the mic is an old Sony ECM-23F back-electret mic and the INV-6 is monted to an ExplorAudio H-Clamp SPIRIT Mic mount. The INV-6 does its job of shock absorption VERY well and at the same time doesn't stick out as far as the spider type shock mounts.

Great fit for Audix SCX1-HC. The one I had was a bit loose. This holds the mic much better.

Perfect for Schoeps CMC 141

The Rycote InVision / Lyre shock mounts are by far my favorite among all the different shock mounts I have tried. Great isolation, and they are very simple and hassle-free. The INV-6 is a great choice to use with the new Schoeps CMC 141 (the MK 41 capsule with the new CMC 1 amplifier body).

which one of these Rycote shock mounts are best ...

which one of these Rycote shock mounts are best for Sennheiser MKH 50?
Asked by: Josip
You can use the Rycote INV-7 InVision Microphone Suspension for Stand and Boompole Mounting (B&H # RYINV7) or Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension - Lyre Shockmount (B&H # RYINVHGMKIII) with the Sennheiser MKH 50. The MKH 50 is 150mm long and the INV-6 accommodates mics that are less than 120mm long, so the INV-6 won't work. The INV-7 is for mics that are longer than 120mm and the INV-HG is also suitable for the MKH 50.
