Rycote INV-6 Overview

The Rycote INV-6 InVision Microphone Suspension addresses the demand for a professional Rycote-quality shockmount. Use in the studio, conference settings, and for speech capturing applications.

The entire mount is comprised of two InVision lyres with two clips that accommodate microphone bodies measuring 19 to 25mm in diameter. The lyres rest on a bar with a 3/8" threaded stand adapter at the base.

The stand adapter itself features an integrated cable clip for securing excess cable and minimizing noise. The unique Lyre suspension is engineered with Hytrel for a virtually indestructible design that maximizes shock and noise suppression.

The InVision suspension system is available in various clip sizes to accommodate different microphones. The versatile 19 to 25mm mounting clips included with this system are intended for mounting a wide variety of microphones (under 120mm long).

Large Lyre Suspension for Small Mics
The Rycote Lyre suspension webs measure 0.7 to 0.9" in diameter to accommodate small microphones. This is ideal for static stand mounting as well as boom placement.
0.7 to 0.9" Diameter Mounting Clips
The clips included with this system accommodate microphone diameters measuring between 0.7 to 0.9" in diameter (19 to 25mm). The clips mount a wide variety of microphones that measure under 4.7" long.
Hytrel Construction
The unique Lyre suspension is engineered with Hytrel for a virtually indestructible design that maximizes shock and noise suppression.
Integrated 3/8" Threaded Stand Adapter
A 3/8" threaded stand adapter is featured at the base for microphone stand mounting.

For the price, I was expecting this to be user-friendly. Rather, I had to crank the knob just to keep my Sennheiser MKE 600 from falling over but eventually it became loose and would not tighten so ended up returning it. What happened to Rycote?

Great fit for Audix SCX1-HC. The one I had was a bit loose. This holds the mic much better.

which one of these Rycote shock mounts are best for Sennheiser MKH 50?

You can use the Rycote INV-7 InVision Microphone Suspension for Stand and Boompole Mounting (B&H # RYINV7) or Rycote InVision INV-HG mkIII Microphone Suspension - Lyre Shockmount (B&H # RYINVHGMKIII) with the Sennheiser MKH 50. The MKH 50 is 150mm long and the INV-6 accommodates mics that are less than 120mm long, so the INV-6 won't work. The INV-7 is for mics that are longer than 120mm and the INV-HG is also suitable for the MKH 50.
