    Photoflex DP-SHDBGSPKT reviews

Pro-Duty Backdrop Support Kit (12.5' Width) is rated 4.6 out of 5 by 204.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pro Duty Is NOT An Understatement I was planning on getting an inexpensive backdrop stand, but my brother, (who shall remain nameless but whose initials are ZA) exhorted me to empty my wallet on this thing. I have to admit I went kicking and screaming till I pulled it out of the box. Wow. This thing is beefy. Feels very solid and you don't have any hesitation pushing it around and doing what you need to. I assumed all of these type stands were created equal, but this one is far superior to the cheapies I've seen and used in the past. If you're earn anything at all with photography, bite the bullet and get a piece of gear that will last more than two or three shoots.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Good for mobile shoots or even studio I recently ordered this drop support and I couldn't be more pleased. It's quite sturdy and telescopes in a very manageable way to port in my sedan then hold up my 10' drop without sagging. I recommend getting some sandbags to add to the tripod legs for larger drops, particularly if you have a shoot with lots of traffic or use bigger drops, but it's fairly stable even without. It's very easy to use and has well thought out adjustments. *Much* better than others I've used. Clamps are also a good purchase to go along with this if you use drops/decorative elements without a cuff in them, or if your drops have narrow cuffs.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent backdrop Support The lower cost backdrop support kits for sale worried me, so I decided to spend a little more on this one. I am not disappointed. I was a little concerned because one review indicated that it was not sturdy. I disagree. It is quite sturdy without being overly heavy. If I want to take it out of the studio to the field, I am able to transport it fairly easily. Sure there are lighter, less expensive models out there, but this one strikes the right balance for solid construction, value for your money, and portability.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Just what I needed I shoot training videos in the back corner of a warehouse and have a shoestring budget. 2 years ago, I bought a cheap backdrop stand kit to hold 12-foot seamless rolls. The cheap kit worked just OK, but always seemed on the verge of buckling. I recently bought a 12-foot muslin pocketed drape to give backgrounds a little texture, and that's when I knew I needed a better backdrop kit since I would be swapping more often between the drape and the seamless. This Photoflex kit fills the bill very nicely. Strong LiteStands and the Pole sags very very little with the weight of the drape. I wish I'd popped for this Pro-Duty kit in the first place, instead of buying the cheaper one. The The carry bag is rugged, too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very sturdy, heavy duty system This system was better than I expected! I was tired of my old photek system sagging in the middle, and the cheesy support stands slipping down do to the self loosening lock mechanisms. This Photoflex system is NOTHING like the Photek. First off the stands are plenty sturdy and actually double as light stands more than capable of holding a flash head and large soft box. The locking mechanisms are solid and secure, and these stands go much higher than I will ever need! The crossbar is a very thick, telescoping rod, so no more assembling pre-sized lengths, just slide in or out to your exact width needed. The ends have wing nut locks to hold tight onto the stands. I use this to hang a custom EEFX green screen backdrop that has to be hung on 12 feet of crossbar. This Photoflex system has zero droop of the crossbar at 12 feet with this 10x12 foam backed backdrop hanging from it. Telescoping crossbar is about 6 longer than the multi-piece systems when fully collapsed, but it all fits in the excellent carrying bag, not even close to being a deal breaker for me. I would highly recommend this system as it has far exceeded my expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Skip the others, get this one. This is simply one of the best backdrop support systems you can get for the money. Once fully set up, the kit will extend out about twelve feet out by another twelve feet or more (it's huge!). What's nice about is it that the top bar that holds the backdrop telescopes in and out so you can easily make it longer, instead of putting various metal bars together to make it longer, like other backdrop kits do. Also, it has a very nice and sturdy bag that holds everything together; It even has a slot so you can put one of your business cards in it. Make sure to buy some clamps with it and also buy some sand bags to hold your kit down. Get it, you won't regret buying this kit over the others.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Not a bad Kit for the money I use the support system for portraiture. The only gripe I have about this system is the cross bar. It actually flexes in the middle when extended 3 or 4 feet past the outer most bar. It's telescoping feature is great, if they could just take the flex out of it. I was also hoping to use this as a support for hanging some framed photos when I go to outdoor events, but that's not the main reason I bought it anyway. Good: Setup is quick! The stands are actual light stands and are very sturdy! It is also a breeze to take down and pack up. There's also some extra room in the canvas case at the top where I store my clamps for hanging muslins. Overall, a great backdrop support system.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Two Lightstands and a pole This product is really just two lightstands and a expandable crossover pole. The stands come with a fitting that can be installed in either direction for a 1/8 inch threaded end or a 1/4 inch threaded end. You have to carefully install the crossover pole over the fittings in order to make sure they are properly seated and tightened. The stands are difficult to extend the legs on because they stick in the closed position. Everything appears to be pretty heavy duty including the crossover pole. When all is put away in the included carrying bag the total length is still a little over 4 feet. Probably will not fit in most car trunks if transporting somewhere.
