Is this crossbar more stronger then the Manfrotto 272B? Can I buy the Photoflex crossbar individually without the stands?
The overview says 40 lbs is for the stands. It does not give it for the cross bar. Comparison based on specs is only meaningful if you know both specs use the same criteria. B&H should answer this question.

Yes These are adjustable. Although I'm sure there is a minimum height because the poles are about 3 feet at their smallest breakdown. But These will easily go from 4 feet to 10 feet tall.
