7.2 Megapixel Super HAD CCD
The advanced Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD of the DSC-S730 allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing image noise.
3x Optical Zoom Lens with Smart Zoom Feature
The 3x zoom lens of the Cyber-shot DSC-S730, helps bring distant subjects closer and lets you frame shots quickly for better composition while the Sony Smart Zoom feature intelligently "crops into" the central portion of interest in your photo, helping avoid the image degradation of other digital zooms.
5-Point Auto Focus
The five-point auto focus mode ensures pin-sharp images, even when your subject is moving or isn't in the centre of the frame, so you'll get great results even with off-center subjects that make for more interesting photo compositions.
High Sensitivity Mode
For sharp, flash-free photos without blur, the high sensitivity mode (ISO 1250) allows shooting at higher shutter speeds for better pictures in low-light conditions -- great for birthday parties, indoor gatherings, and candid portraits.

Furthermore, the compact Memory Stick Duo media makes it easy to upload photos to your PC and are compatible with millions of devices worldwide.

The bright 2.4" LCD display makes it easy to compose shots, check results, share your photos, and read camera menus, even in full sunlight.
Picture Motion Browser Software
Supplied software makes it easier to upload, organize, and search photos on your PC. When shooting photos using your camera and an optional GPS unit, the software even provides a convenient map view function that lets you sort photos by location and display their origin on a world map.
Simple Setup Controls
A quick press of the Home button opens your user-friendly graphical interface, then select functions by simply moving a cursor vertically or horizontally to the appropriate icon. Intuitive function names and the on-screen Function Guide display make it easier to learn camera setup operations.
Stamina Battery Power
The camera can capture up to 100 shots with standard AA alkaline batteries, and can capture up to 460 shots with optional NiMH rechargeable batteries.
