What is the amp-hour capacity of the battery in the APC Back-UPS 550?
I replace the batteries all the time and they are 12v 7AH, although you can use a 7.5AH or 8AH battery in them too as long as they fit (most do, but check the dimensions) and you may get slightly longer run times (I have never tested this, though).

Will this work with a Mc Mini and does it come with softsware that works with a a mac? Can I gert standalonw SW thqt will sork with the outdated APC UPS I've been using with a G5 for mode than seven years??
Thank you for your inquiry. This unit should work with the Mac Mini. I would just confirm that the Mac doesn't draw more than 330 watts of power. Anything over that will overload the UPS. Unfortunately our PowerChute Personal edition is not supported on Mac. However you can use built in energy saving features of Mac to provide a graceful shutdown of the system.

How long will the unit provide power to a typical router / modem?
Thank you for taking the time to provide feedback about our BE550G UPS. Runtime will depend on power consumption some routers and modems specially those made for residential use only consume around 10-20 watts which would give you from 1 hour to 30 minutes of runtime it would be best to consult runtime graph for details which is our test results when you have a brand new UPS and battery.

Please note as UPS ages it may lose efficiency and batteries will also lose capacity as it ages.
