Manfrotto LL LB67GW Overview

The white and mid gray Collapsible Reversible Background from Manfrotto opens to a full 6 x 7' for studio use, and since it folds to one third its original size, you can easily transport it for location work. This background can be used in portrait or landscape orientation, whether you are shooting one or more subjects. A reversible background provides the added benefit of allowing you to change the color whenever you choose and the convenience of carrying one less background.

The steel rim is enclosed in rim tape with a triple-reinforced stitch line so it won't pop out, and if the rim comes apart or breaks, it is covered by a lifetime guarantee. A storage bag is included.

As other reviewers have pointed out, in word and image, these have a very pronounced curve and the white side has blotchy discoloration. I exchanged and had to return that one, too. I cannot imagine a professional scenario where this reversible background is preferred. These used to be under the Lastolite name and seemed to be of higher quality (based on reviews). Something may have changed with recent production of these collapsible backgrounds. I suspect that it coincides with the change to Manfrotto.

This, combined with the magnetic support and a custom piece I made for the hair light mounting has greatly reduced the load size for our photographers. It folds surprisingly easy. The white gets dirty extremely easy. Don't plan on using that if you're setting up often(like school photographers do). This is not nearly as thick as I had expected. Light and shadows are absolutely noticeable through it if you don't have enough flash power. We have always used the old masters canvas backgrounds that are a thick tough canvas. This material is definitely not that.

Very solid construction and works well with the manfrotto magnetic mount. Colors are not the darkest/brightest nor the must dustproof but its very easy to correct for and its easy to break down so thats a plus.

The extra foot makes all the difference. It's not much bigger than the standard 5x7 backgrounds when it's collapsed, but when it's expanded that extra width for a 6x7 can make a big difference in your wiggle room. Highly recommended.

This has all the same use cases and portability as the typical 5x7 collapsible backgrounds, but the extra 1-foot along the short side is a big deal when you need it.

I have this and I got the white side dirty because it smudged against a floor as I folded it up. Is there any hope for cleaning it?

I have not had to clean it. But if i did i would buy a fabric cleaner from Home Depot. Spray a small area in the lower quadrant (out of camera view) to test before applying to the affected area.

A reflector holder such as the B&H# IMLSRH will work. You may need to reflector holders if you want it to be very stationary.

I've purchased this. It seems to be photographic so blue. Using two strobes: Photogenic C4-12C Color Corrected Flash Tube. Should I be doing something different?

Is the Black and mid gray oval, collapsible and 6x7 just like the the black and white model appears to be? Or does it have square corners like the picture? Will the Magnetic Background Support work with it?

It is oval. The material is great quality, and has a sturdy framing. I did not use a support stand. Worked surprisingly well leaned against a wall. Well worth the money spent.

I ordered the black/white 6x7 and really like the quality however, there are many creases and wrinkles all over the surface. The folks who are giving 5 stars...are they over looking this or do I need to get a replacement?

You may use a handheld fabric steamer to remove wrinkles found in the Manfrotto Collapsible Reversible Background (6 x 7', Black/White). By steaming the background and properly positioning the stand holding the reversible background, winkles should be minimized. That being stated, if you are not happy with the background, do note you have 30 days from the date of purchase to return the background for an exchange or a refund.
