The Cavision MHE52 is a monitor hood specifically designed for the Sony HDR-TG1 pocket handicam. The unique design of the hood allows it to double as a viewfinder converter, greatly improving focus ability and frame composition. With use of optional adapters, this viewfinder can also be fitted to cameras with 3.5" and 3" LCDs, including the Canon 5D Mark II and other DSLRs.
The lens on the viewfinder, like all optical elements, by its nature
magnifies light and thus will also magnify the sun's rays; therefore, leaving
the viewfinder on the camera in direct sunlight may cause damage to the LCD.
The manufacturer will not be held liable for damage caused by improper use of
