Works well for broadcasting group meetings

I bought this for hybrid meetings that are in person as well as broadcast over Zoom. It works very well with groups up to 10 or 12 people sitting around a table in a medium size room (I haven't tried it with larger groups or in larger rooms) - the folks on Zoom can clearly hear anyone in the room when they're talking.

Was having trouble hearing everyone with the microphone on my web canera. Added the U7 and improved the audio on our skype web conferences tremendously. Satisfied with the purchase.

We cannot get this to work on our Mac laptop. They can hear us but we can't hear them once it's plugged in...?

What software--if any--do I need to record meeting audio using the microphone?

In order to record audio using the CAD U7 Boundary mic, you will need an audio recording software. There are many free software downloads available. We recommend Audacity which is both Mac and PC compatible, and will allow you to record, edit and export your audio files. Available free at http://audacity.sourceforge.net/

The CAD U7 is designed for use with Mac or PC computers via USB only. Unfortunately at this time there is no smartphone support for this device.

How long of a USB extension can be used with this ...

How long of a USB extension can be used with this and still have it be effective? 20 feet? More?

For best functionality, it's recommended to keep standard usb cables under 10'. If you need to have longer runs, you would need an active usb extension cable to help prevent data transmission issues, such as BH #KRCAUAMUAF25.
