My old Leica brand caps have gotten brittle with age, and these are good replacements. You should know that these Op-Techs are a little bulkier than the name-brand rear lens caps (about 2.5 inches external diameter compared to 2 inches for the Leica caps), but that turns out to be a good thing for me as they may help protect the lens barrel from being bumped inadvertently. I use my lenses; they’re tools and not collectibles, so they can get jostled around when I’m working. By comparison with the originals, these seem stronger (die cast plastic, all one piece) and fit very snugly on the lens. Good stuff at a good price.
