No, the Zoom RC4 Remote Control is not compatible for use with the Zoom H3-VR Audio Recorder. The RC4 only works with the Zoom H4n and H4n Pro 4 Audio Recorders.

Yes just hit REC when recording to create a marker. It's a simple wired remote allows for recording start, play, stop, fast-forward/reverse, volume level adjustment, recording level adjustment, and input source switching.
