The ring is well made and fits perfectly. I'm using it on a Hasselblad V lens. I can now use standard 77mm filters on the lens.

Sturdy step-up ring. Saves space in my filter storage by not needing multiple sizes of polarizers and ND filters. It screws on and off easily enough.

Does using a 62 mm lense instead of a 52 mm lense make a difference in photo quality?
In general, no. However, it can be used to prevent vignetting on a wide angle lens with a standard ring polarizer or when stacking more than one filter on a lens.
