    Sensei SUR-5558 reviews

    55-58mm Step-Up Ring is rated 4.9 out of 5 by 18.
Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sensei 55-58mm Step-Up Ring Very basic tool that enabled me to use my filters on several different lenses. Threaded very well on lens without any binding and filters threaded into it without any problems.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Precision Feel I needed to attach my new Nissin MF18 Macro Flash to my Tamron 100mm f/2.8 macro lens, which has a 55mm filter diameter. The Nissin flash comes with six adapters, from 49mm to 82mm, but as luck would have it, a 55mm adapter was not one of them. This Sensei 55-58mm Step-Up Ring was the easy answer. This metal adapter ring attaches smoothly, reflecting precision manufacturing. The Nissen 58mm adapter, in turn, smoothly attaches to the Sensei adapter. Both will end up always staying on the lens since the spring-loaded Tamron lens cap still fits the larger 58mm filter size. The Sensei name and ring size printing on the outer surface of the adapter is clean and makes the adapter look more expensive than it is. The Sensei step-up ring works perfectly for my set-up and maintains the precision look and feel of my camera and lens.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Just what I needed to use my 58mm filter I use the product to make use of the filters I already have without buying more 55mm filters. It screws on my lens with ease.It doesn't screw on itself.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A cheap solution to sharing filters Do you have a set of filters for one thread size? Then get a new lens with a different filter thread size? Step up/down rings like this one are great for sharing filters, instead of buying new ones. I use this to allow a 58mm ND filter to be used on a lens that has a 55mm thread. Perfect.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Slicker than frog spit Look, when the filters are larger than the lens in question, you need the tool to connect them rather than carrying all those different sizes, right? The threads are fine, the thing stays in place, it's exactly what it says it is - when you need it, this is exactly what you need.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Would continue to purchase this brand. Have a few other (step up - step down) rings by Sensei, they have always attached with no problems. As with all rings caution should be used when attaching them to a lens to avoid cross threading. With that said I would continue to purchase this brand.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Does what it says. Simply put, it steps up from a 55mm filter thread to a 58mm filter thread. It has a solid metal construction and black coating. Specifically, I bought it to use a wideangle accessory lens with 58mm filter threads on my lenses with 55mm filter threads.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well built rings They are perfect for the intended use. Really inexpensive and they seem to be made with quality in mind. Pro tip, don't tighten them too much on your lens, the grip is really thin and you might not be able to get them out without a tool
