Regular monopods with feet are not stable they sway. Ive tried several.
Yes, this stand can be adapted to a camera mount but I would not recommend it. It will not be stable and if you do not attach a head to it, you will have no way of panning and tilting the camera.

No, the legs are not as tall so it won't hook in.

Is it good enough for a Flash 30 inches Softbox (all together weight 5 lbs) ?
I think it would be fine. I find since the base is so small if you use it outside with any sort of modifier, it will blow over in a second. Using a send bag helps, or a human. Awesome stand though.
