The HT-S7200's HDMI inputs and output are version 1.3a, which means it's Deep Color and x.vColor capable. What are they? Two names for the same advancement. The ability to display as many as 68 billion (billion with a "B"!) colors, far more than the eye can discern. Precisely because of this, colors look smoother and more lifelike. Blocky artifacts in dark scenes are a thing of the past and the entire viewing experience is enhanced. An increasing number of HDTVs and Blu-ray Discs support the new standard and the HT-S7200 is ready for all of them. It's also ready for your iPod. You can connect it by way of the included UP-A1 dock that plugs into the receiver/amplifier's Universal Port. The Universal Port also allows you to plug in Onkyo's optional HD radio tuner.
