question
which bulb do I need for pbl vld-1000 video light?
Unfortunately, B&H is not an authorized PBL dealer and we do not carry their products. I am not familiar with the bulb used in the PBL VLD-1000 light fixture you list above and cannot find it listed online. As such, I would recommend contacting the manufacturer or dealer of your light kit and inquire about the bulb used in your fixture, then you may contact us by e-mailing [email protected] with their response, or you may e-mail us an image of the bulb currently used in your light fixture, being sure to include all text written on the bulb for identification purposes.

question
will this lamp fit a vari-beam model 7750?
The light is so old there their does not seem to be information for a replacement lamp. And it seems many you have this model have changed the lamp socket for a different one.

I am looking for a spare bulb for my lower 1,000 ...
I am looking for a spare bulb for my lower 1,000 watt DP light, and I see there are 3 choices: 1, FEL with a ceramic only base, 2, FEL with metal base, 2, FEL-M2 with a metal base. Which is the best choice and what are the advantages. I purchased the FEL M-2 with a metal base? Thank you, RJ
No, the Lowell DP 1000w Halogen Light System adapts to FEP style bulbs.
Please review the following bulb that is needed.

question
What fixture do I need for this lamp?
I use these in my theatre in the Shakespeare lights made by Altman. I also use these lamps in our spotlights.

question
These are quite a lot cheaper than other brands. Whats the trade off?
The bulb can break while trying to remove it and as such it is very difficult to remove the plastic base which is stuck in the socket. As such, I will be purchasing the metal based ones next time...I would advise you to do the same...

question
Are these halogen?
Yes, they are halogen lamps (which also means they generate a lot of heat!).
