Nikon 7535 overview

  • 1Description

Nikon's 8x42 Premier Binocular lives up to its name through the use of a variety of optical features that make it an ideal device for hunters, birders, and outdoor enthusiasts who require an optic that delivers the ability to discern fine details at distance.

This binocular features phase-corrected roof prisms that are treated with silver-alloy coatings, anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics, and a proprietary field-flattener lens system that work together to produce bright and clear high-contrast images with true color rendition across a field of view free from edge distortion. Its 8x magnification brings subjects up close, but without the noticeable hand shake often associated with higher-power optics, while the 42mm objectives boost its light-gathering ability to improve views in the challenging light of the pre-dawn and late evening hours, or in foggy and cloudy weather. With the combination of prism and optical coatings, a respectable angle of view, and an exceptionally long eye relief, users can enjoy a comfortable and immersive observational experience in most lighting conditions.

The Premier's chassis is made from a lightweight yet durable magnesium alloy, and its sculpted rubber-armored housing is designed to fit naturally into the observer's hand and provide a secure non-slip grip. Twist-up rubber eyecups and a comfortable eye relief enable easy viewing without eye fatigue, especially during long observation sessions.

The combination of image quality and user-friendly design make the 8x42 Premier a natural option for intermediate- to long-range glassing.

Optical Performance
  • 8x power magnifies objects without sacrificing field of view or exit pupil
  • 42mm objective lenses improve light-gathering ability without adding excessive bulk or weight
  • Roof prism light path ensures optical tubes remain thin for a compact form factor
  • Phase-corrected prism coatings reduce internal interference to improve light transmission, contrast, and resolution
  • Anti-reflection fully multi-coated optics maximize light transmission across the entire visible spectrum for accurate color rendition and improved contrast and clarity
  • High-reflectivity silver-alloy prism coatings reduce internal diffraction to further improve light transmission and contrast
  • Field-flattener lens system corrects lens-edge distortion for clearer views at the edge of the field of view
  • 267' field of view at 1000 yards
Use and Handling
  • Closed-bridge configuration provides a sturdy platform for the internal focusing mechanism
  • Large slip-resistant center focusing wheel is easy to manipulate, even while wearing gloves
  • Right-eye dioptric correction enables user to compensate for optical prescription for sharper views
  • Wide 56-72mm interpupillary adjustment range enables easy use by a wide variety of people
  • Twist-up eyecups with multiple click-stop positions for easy viewing with or without eyewear
  • Exceptional 20mm eye relief helps to reduce eye strain and improves viewing comfort
  • Wide 5.25mm exit pupil will completely cover most pupils as they open and dilate in low light

Nikon 7535 reviews

8x42 Premier Binocular is rated 5.0 out of 5 by 2.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Quality through and through I use this product hours each day to perform surveillance. I am able to lift the binoculars to my glasses and focus on the subject very quickly. The focus knob is sensitive, and only takes the slightest movement to adjust. I had to get used to this, and now am pleased with the minimal effort necessary to bring an object into focus. The eye relief is terrific. I see the entire field of view with no obstruction, even with eye glasses. The only negative I can say is the 8x power requires a very steady hand. I previously used a 7x power and needed much less effort to steady the image. I do feel the extra magnification is worth the additional effort. Clarity of image and quality of build are fantastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent binocular Though now eclipsed by the EDG series, the Premier is one nice binocular. It's extremely good optically, has excellent ergonomics, and a superb focusing mechanism. This optic gives me everything I need in the field. This has been my primary birding binocular for nearly ten years and I still love it.
