The latch never did seem to work to hold the drawer in place and not it has completely broken. Similarly the security latch was cheap and would get bent easily.
This is my second one (because I ran out of space). I use it to hold my microphones, in-ear monitors, and all body packs. It is versitle and very strong (the foam is on the strong side). When it comes to my rack, I trust Odyssey!
