Pearstone Articulating Arm Reviews

Works great!

This arm is a great tool to have and I like it's very affordable especially when compared to other name brands. I've found this to be very strong and small enough to travel with. This arm falls into the middle size category so it often lives on my FX3 cage with my smallHD 7in monitor attached when I'm doing formal interviews. The knobs are large enough for my big hands and I like that this this particular arm comes with spacers. [I have received this product in exchange for my honest review]

This articulating arm has a 1/4 screw so it will fit any video assistant that has that standard mounting female screw.

question

How do you attach this to a camera jib to be able to use it for a monitor?
Asked by: Dashiell
If the jib has a cold/hot shoe mount or a female 1/4 20 thread you are set. Otherwise you will probably have to use a clamp or something.

question

I'm using the Pearstone 4.2 (10.7cm) Articulating Arm to mount a Tascam dr70 onto a Sony a7S Camera Rig ES-T16. I have mounted a video light and external monitor to the 2 shoe mounts. I don't see a way to mount the Tascam into one of the holes in the cage without having to turn the whole arm (rather than being able to tighten the knob to secure the male end of the screw into the hole). What am I missing? thanks!
Asked by: Michael B.
You have it right. You have to turn the whole arm into the screw hole, tighten it, then adjust the arm using the large knob.
