The Sennheiser MMD 835 is a cardioid capsule. It can be used to capture audio when paired with a receiver and the SKM 100/300/500 G3/G4, SKM 2000/6000/9000, SKM D1/AVX, or SL handheld DW wireless handheld transmitters (sold separately). The capsule is easily installed, includes a metal grille, and replaces faulty or damaged capsules. The interchangeable capsule system allows users to select among capsules with differing sensitivity levels and polarity patterns.

The capsule is easily installed, includes a metal grille, and replaces faulty or damaged capsules. What's the difference between the 835 Cardioid Capsule and the 935B Cardioid Capsule?

The 935 capsule is made primarily for stage performance. The 835 capsule can be used for live performance as well, but it is made primarily for recording, with a gentle presence boost.

Yes, this capsule is compatible with an SKM AVX handheld transmitter such as B&H # SESKMAVX4 which does not include the capsule. It can also be used as a replacement capsule for B&H # SESKMAVX8354.
