Does this FF work ok with a Canon EF 28-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS USM Lens? thnx.
It will work if you add a gear to the lens, but keep in the mind the 28-135 is a USM lens that lacks physical hard stops. The FF will work in focusing, but you won't have hard stops as the lens lacks it.

This will work with a Canon DSLR lens with added gears plus a 15mm rods and baseplate. You will have to determine the diameter of the lens and find a gear such as this one below.

Yes this geared focus wheel could be used to manually dial in a zoom on an appropriately geared lens, or on some photography lens with geared adapters, such as the Wide Open Camera Universal Lens Gear: WILU;
