The Pelco 16-Channel Endura Enabled HVR (1TB) is an embedded, high-performance hybrid video recorder suitable for retail, finance, education, corporate, and commercial security applications. Capable of recording up to 20 cameras (16 analog camera inputs and 4 IP camera inputs) at a combined 600 / 500 ips, the recorder offers CIF / 2CIF / 4CIF resolution, programmable on a per-input basis. 16 BNC connectors are provided for video inputs with a high impedance or 75 ohm termination (software controlled).
Endura system integration offers better operational flexibility and management with greater control, especially while scaling up/expanding the IP surveillance system. Configuration options and tools make the unit operational in a short time and simple menus help you quickly navigate through the configuration process.
You can configure, program, and control the video recorder through front panel controls, the USB keyboard / mouse, KBD5000 (optional USB keyboard with joystick, jog shuttle, and keypad modules), or remote client. PTZ can be controlled through Coaxitron, Pelco D, or Pelco P protocols. Built-in storage estimator and automatic camera configuration options help in easy programming of the DVR.
The MPEG-4 based compression with a constrained variable bit rate results in optimum picture quality and low storage consumption. The unit records continuous, scheduled, and motion alarm or event videos and saves them automatically at the higher recorded rate.
The HVR offers 1TB internal storage space including EnduraStor optimization. Video is recorded at a higher frame rate, stored for a defined period of time, and is reduced to a lower rate thereafter. Apart from saving storage space, EnduraStor also makes real-time, high-quality video available during the delay period.
Video can be displayed on composite, S-video, or VGA monitors where the main monitor can display 16 images. The recorder simultaneously displays live and playback video on the same monitor and can also be programmed for a sequenced display for the analog cameras to a composite monitor.
The hybrid video recorder is equipped with a remote client application for live monitoring of 1-5 DVRs, full search and playback, remote export of video, and remote administration and configuration. Remote access is protected through a built-in VPN server, and custom user profiles ensure precise user rights and permissions.
The system runs on an embedded Linux OS on compact flash and has hard drive cooling for enhanced reliability.
- Offers centralized monitoring and management Ensures scalability - existing analog cameras can be serviced and new IP cameras
- can be easily added to the surveillance system
- Allows up to 5 DVR5100s to be networked and operated from a single remote client or an unlimited number of DVR5100s to be operated and administered from an Endura head-end
- Monitor and control any camera, alarm, or relay in a full virtual matrix application
- MPEG-4 based compression ensures seamless transmission of video over the network and optimum picture quality with low storage consumption
- Variable bit rate allows a higher bit rate (and therefore more storage space) to be allocated to the more complex segments of media files while less space is allocated to simpler segments
- Allows video recording at higher frame rates, to be reduced to a lower rate after a user-defined period of time
- Saves hard disk drive space and makes real-time video available for search, playback, and export during the delay period
- Continuous, scheduled, and motion alarm or event video is automatically saved at the higher recorded rate
- Event groups can incorporate multiple alarm conditions, providing an effective way to filter out potential false alarms
- You can coordinate the response of the DVR to a given alarm or event trigger through complex scripts
- USB keyboard and mouse included for hands-on controls
- User-friendly menu layout to intuitively navigate through the configuration process
- Built-in storage estimator and automatic camera configuration options for an instant programming of the DVR
- Convenient front panel controls, intuitive icon-based user interface, and color coordinated function keys
- USB keyboard, mouse, and the front panel controls allow operation of Pelco PTZ cameras through Coaxitron, Pelco D, or Pelco P protocols
- Pause, rewind, or fast-forward live video with the push of a button
- Function key for bringing up search screens that allow near instant access to video required for investigations
- Single-button export feature simplifies the exporting of digitally signed video, along with the player, onto a CD or DVD via the included CD / DVD writer or onto a USB memory device
- Display video on composite, S-video, or VGA monitors
- Main monitor displays 16 images
- Allows you to observe a scene while conducting a search on recorded video using the simultaneous combination of live and playback video on the same monitor
- Programmable sequence monitor provides a sequencing display for the analog cameras to a composite monitor
- Live monitoring of 1-5 DVRs, full search and playback, remote export of video, and remote administration and configuration
- Protects the system and sensitive video content from unauthorized access through a built-in VPN server providing digital video authentication
- Free remote client software provides bandwidth throttling upon each connection to the DVR (bandwidth throttling is a method of ensuring that a bandwidth intensive device such as DVR limits the quantity of data it transmits and/or accepts within a specified period of time)
- Embedded Linux OS equipped on compact flash with an engineered hard drive cooling system for enhanced reliability
- Full system diagnostics monitoring and logging
- Ideal solution for retail, finance, education, corporate, and commercial security applications
