Recommended upgrade for the bags that use the SP20 shoulder pad. Better comfort as the SP20 pad's buckle straps cross over the bottom of the pad. This is smooth and grippy and as expected from Billingham, top notch quality!

The pad is excwplent!! It has eliminated the pain and discomfort that the strap in my bag was causing on my shoulder. My bag feels light and comfortable on my shoulder even when fully loaded with equipment!!

What's the difference between the SP50 and SP20?

The SP50 is the one to get - the SP20 is basically a piece of typically nice Billingham leather sewn to a piece of wetsuit neoprene which wears quite quickly. The SP50 has bound edges and more durable non slip, plus better padding. Brand new the SP20 may be slightly softer thugh and looks a little more traditional. I replaced the SP40's on my Packington and 445 with SP50s and bought SP40s for my Hadleys.

SP40 is for 1.5 strap and SP50 for 2 strap which the Hadley One has.
