5 10/100/1000Mbps Gigabit Ethernet ports, each featuring Auto-MDIX negotiation
GREENnet technology reduces power consumption when Ethernet ports are not in use, a connected device is turned off or in power-saving mode, and can adjust signal output based on Ethernet cable length
Utilizes the store-and-forward switching method with non-blocking wire-speed performance
IEEE 802.3x Full Duplex Flow Control supports full-duplex operation
Back pressure Flow Control supports half-duplex operation
Features a 1K MAC address table and 104KB of buffer memory
Operates and maximizes packet filtering and forwarding rate

    TRENDnet TEG-S50G reviews

5-Port Gigabit GREENnet Switch is rated 4.7 out of 5 by 27.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Switch at a Very Nice Price ... I bought 4 of these TRENDnet Switches. They work as advertised, with 1 Gigabit speed over CAT6 Ethernet Cable. I used the Cat6 Snagless Patch Cable ( B&H Item: PECC6SL100B ) for my installation and the switches work just fine. They are small, come in a metal case, never get hot and you can daisy chain them. The version I received has the power connector on the left side of the switch, NOT at the back as pictured beside the ports. Hope that helps.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from So Easy No setup required, just plug it in. I use it for connecting to a NAS, and it works great.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from TRENDnet makes a great Gigabit switch This switch works great and is easy to install. It solved my problem of having to connect a LCD TV, blu ray player, and Argosy media player all to my single Ethernet wall port. I just took this small device out of the box, connected each of my networked devices to it, and then connected the TRENDnet switch to the Ethernet wall port. And, I have two additional switch connections available in case I wish to add my PS3 or other (wired) networked devices to the switch such as a computer. (Yes, on some of these devices one could go wireless, but there is usually a better speed and more reliable connection when wired) Highly recommended and especially recommended to buy from B&H as they had the best price, it was easy to order from their site, and the order was shipped very quickly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great audiophile tweak! I had my doubts when I first heard about this product being used in an audiophile system but it really does clean up the Ethernet signal. I use CAT 6 cable in a fairly long run between my router and laptop and have the GREENnet Switch installed just prior to my laptop. The switch re-clocks the signal before passing it to my DAC thereby improving the resolution that my DAC is able to extract. Give it a try. It's one of the cheapest tweaks available in audio!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Little Switch 1st off I was surprised how small this thing is; -4.5x2.75x1 -Allways runs cool -Handles switching Cox business internet loads between the modem and our routers seamlessly. It's a great product the only con being that I had to install the rubber feet manually, but that took me all of 10 seconds. All-in-all this is a fantastic product that I can and will quickly buy again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent, fast network switch I am using this for networking multiple devices to a single Cat5 wall port that is then wired into a 16-port switch. It worked perfectly. Setup was fast and simple - took only the time needed to plug it in and plug in the Cat5 cables from the computers / devices into it to have it up and working. Very pleased with this, and highly recommended.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small, solid, fast I own two of these switches for a few months and the perform very well. The housing is metal so it has a solid feel to it unlike other plastic switches. It supposedly shuts off ports it is not using to save power, but I haven't tested this. Gigabit speed at low cost, can't complain. Time will tell how these hold up, however.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Small fast switch Plugged in to speed up my ethernet network segment. It is small and compact device. Doesn't get hot. Network speed is 1GB even for multiple computers since internally it supports more than 1 GB. Would recommend to any to extend wired network.
