MSTRAP-1 Tripod Shoulder Strap is rated 4.4 out of 5 by 74.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from Could have fooled me... The first few times I examined this, I was very skeptical & didn't quite believe this could actually be comfortable or worthwhile but badly needed a strap or case. I have to say, I'm very pleased with it's design & comfort for my Manfrotto 055XPROB tripod. The head, being the heavier end actually rests downward toward your side while the tripod legs point-upward behind your back - quite comfortably I must add. Also, the adjustable upper quick-release clip tapers nicely around the legs while the lower clip snaps right into the tripods built-in latch - sounds quirky but I appreciate the small details. If you need to free your hands and have quick access to your tripod, then don't hesitate for this price - just go for it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from A Valuable Accessory for Hiking A tripod strap is a must when one is hiking long distances. The MSTRAP-1 is a perfect addition for my Manfrotto 190CXPRO3 carbon fiber tripod. It goes without saying that the more comfortable it is to carry one's equipment, the more pleasant an outdoor excursion will be. The MSTRAP-1 is very well made and easily attaches to the tripod with a clip on the upper end and a snap buckle on the other end. And, to better ensure a good fit, the buckle end strap has velcro to eliminate loose strap ends. The shoulder strap itself is wide and padded, which can be repositioned down or up the main strap for a most comfortable carry of the tripod. I can whole hearted recommend this product.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from BUY THIS PRODUCT IF . . . Buy this product if you are tired of wasting money and energy searching for a way to carry your tripod. I paid a good deal of money for my 055CXPRO3 Manfrotto legs, but found myself leaving them behind because of the hassle of transport. I looked at a bag, but decided against it, as I didn't want to store my tripod but carry and use my tripod quickly. This strap allowed me to carry the legs on my shoulder and shoot without noticing them. But when needed, the legs were there and allowed for quick set up. I'll never be caught without tripod suport again. I find this strap to be worth the cost. It allows me to set up quickly when shooting nature and wildlife.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Shoulder Pad Slides Too Easily Bought this for my 3021B Pro but ended up returning it. The main problem is that the shoulder pad slides too easily up and down the webbing of the strap. As a result the pad always ended up at the lighter end of the tripod when carrying it rather than staying somewhere in the middle not what I was looking for. I returned it and bought the Oben TS-100 instead. Problem solved. Note that contrary to what's listed in the specifications, the MStrap does not extend to 72 inches! It's about the same length as the Oben (about 44).

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Pipe insulation is a better route I got the Manfrotto tripod strap to help lug around a moderately heavy tripod (055XPRO/804RC2) with Vortex Razor HD 20-60x85mm scope. I've hoisted older scopes/tripods (not mine) onto my shoulder and wanted to avoid that approach. In the end, the scope/tripod/head combination was just too off balance to work. If I carried the combo scope/head first, I had to constantly hold them up to prevent them from hitting the ground. This meant that the shoulder strap was not fitting tightly and kept flopping off. If I carried the combo feet first, I had to constantly press down on the legs to keep the head from dragging on the ground. I finally tried hoisting the stuff onto my shoulder and it worked much better -- though I will be getting some kind of padding to help.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from MSTRAP - Does the Job The reason that I did not give this strap 5 stars is that the shoulder pad, like most of the shoulder pads out there is just moderately grippy. I ended up using an old camera bag strap with a very RUBBERIZED, CONTOURED shoulder pad, which stays on my shoulder better. I used 2 velcro cable wraps with 1 O-rings to make the adapter pieces to wrap around the leg and neck of the tripod. I wish this old camera bag strap had a label on it. I would buy a few of them. There is a demand, I believe, for camera straps with wide but flat, contoured, very rubberized shoulder pads.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not for schlepping! This strap is extremely short and is of use only if you want to hand-carry your tripod a short distance. If you're looking for a shoulder strap, check out the Op/Tech and Oben straps; Manfrotto has tripod cases with shoulder straps too. The rubber grip provides a good hand-hold and the strap can be adjusted to balance the tripod. It's not a bad strap, it's just not meant to hook onto the tripod, sling the strap over your shoulders, and take a long schlep.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect for your 195 or 055 If you buy a Manfrotto 195 or 055 I would highly recommend that you buy this strap as well. I've used it on both tripods and it is the best $30 I've ever spent. It is comfortable and light weight and works great on both. You can easily detach the leg end and the strap just hangs from the tripod ready to be wrapped on the legs with a single click when you're ready to move on. As with everything Manfrotto makes, great design and great quality!
